What is stored on your device
Four things, and that is the complete list.

The notice, and what Decline actually does
On your first visit a small notice appears in the corner with two buttons. It is not the usual one, and it is worth thirty seconds of your time because the buttons do different things here than they do elsewhere.
Most sites ask permission for advertising and analytics. We have neither, so there is nothing of that kind to accept or reject, and no button on our notice switches tracking on or off — there is none to switch.
What Decline does do is stop us saving your basket. Your bag still works normally while you are here. It simply is not written into your browser, so it is empty when you come back, and any basket already saved is deleted the moment you press it.
Accept changes nothing about what we collect. It only means the basket is remembered between visits, which is how the shop behaved before the notice existed.
Your sign-in is not part of the question. You only have a session if you asked for one by signing in, and signing out ends it.
If we ever add analytics or advertising, this stops being a courtesy and becomes a legal requirement, the notice will say so plainly, and nothing optional will run until you have agreed to it.
Two things loaded from other companies
These set no cookies, but your browser has to ask them for a file, and asking means they see your IP address. We think that is worth saying out loud rather than leaving in a footnote.

Clearing what is stored
Signing out clears your session. Clearing site data for this site in your browser settings removes all four items above. Nothing else on this site depends on them, so nothing else breaks.
Clearing site data also erases the answer you gave the notice, so it will ask again on your next visit. That is how you change your mind.
Your account, your points and your order history live in our database, not on your device, so clearing your browser does not touch them. To remove those, see the Privacy Policy.
